My passion for art and specifically watercolor has been a new passion which  arose in mid-life when I picked up a brush trying to paint the beauty that my camera didn’t capture.H

How did I get to here?

While enjoying camping, backpacking and canoeing in the western US landscape, I was, and still am, awed by the geography of our protected lands. It wasn’t until mid-life when I picked up a brush trying to paint the beauty that my camera didn’t capture. The medium of watercolor challenges me to express the freshness of color and light ranging from redrock to autumn leaves.  It is all beauty and gift, to be appreciated and protected. 

     I hope my paintings are a reminder of special places that speak to your heart as well.
